Body found from drain

A team of the local Government Railways Police (GRP) found a man's body from the drain passing under the rail tracks near the Nanaksar locality on Sunday. The body has not been identified yet.

ASI Sukhminder Singh said a report under Section 174 of the CrPC had been registered. He said the deceased appeared to be an addict aged around 30 years. He said the victim must have fallen into the drain on Saturday night but couldn't save himself. The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Civil Hospital where it would be kept for 72 hours for identification.
