bikers snatch woman’s purse

Tarn Taran: A woman’s purse was snatched by an unidentified motorcyclist on the Jandiala road on Wednesday. Complainant Parminder Kaur of Gali Aare Wali informed the police that she, along with her husband and son, was going towards the bus stand on a rickshaw when a biker came from the rear side and snatched her purse. She said that there were Rs 45,000 and her son’s passport in the purse. The police have registered a case under Section 379-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Though cops  are clueless so far, they are hopeful of identifying and arresting those who committed the crime. OC

Truck stolen 

Tarn Taran: A truck was stolen from the Jandiala bypass on Tuesday night. The truck (PB02BL9386) was parked near Gurdwara Bangla Sahib for repair work. The complainant stated that after parking his truck, he went to his house at night. He returned on Wednesday morning, but found it missing. The police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC. OC
