Bike catches fire, narrow escape for youth

Amritsar, March 7

In a bizarre incident, a motorcycle today caught fire and the youngster who was riding it had a narrow escape. The incident occurred at Novelty Chowk here today. He called a fire brigade vehicle, which doused the fire. He was coming from the Crystal Chowk side when passers-by and traffic cops told him that the bike had caught fire. The reason behind the fire is said to be a short-circuit in the plug.
