Asr-Dera Baba Nanak metro rail project sought

AMRITSAR: Local MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Thursday wrote a letter to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh demanding metro rail service between Amritsar-Dera Baba Nanak.

Local MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla on Thursday wrote a letter to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh demanding metro rail service between Amritsar-Dera Baba Nanak.

Aujla in a press release informed that he had requested the Chief Minister to send a proposal to the union government for the construction and commissioning of metro rail service as the process of construction of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor has already begun.

He also requested the Chief Minister for Amritsar-SGRD Airport elevated road.

Aujla in a press statement said, “Dera Baba Nanak shall very soon be transformed into an international destination and the present access is obsolete and public transport is totally incapable of handling the footfall of future.” — TNS
