Annual fest at DPS highlights crisis in Greece

A power-point presentation on “Does the Greece crisis, emerge in economic world as an example, a learning or a shame” was the highlight of the annual commerce festival — “Vyapaar- Jhankaar”, organised by Delhi Public School (DPS). Several thought provoking topics that affect economies throughout the world were dissussed during the event.

Another topic “Not aid but trade” calling upon nations to empower developing countries to be self-sufficient as also about “Women empowerment - the emerging strength of the world economies” were debated upon.

As many as 90 students from 12 schools of the city participated in four events that triggered creativity and exchange of knowledge in the commerce field. Joginder Singh Arora, Dr Kamal Kishore, Manveen Bawa, and Dr Ritu Sharma were the judges in the event. Heated debate took place on the topic of “Everything is fair in love, war and business” that saw thought provoking ideas and loopholes of ethics in business, including private, public, and country-to-country and from governments to governments.

Senior Study School won the overall trophy. In debate, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior School, stood first, The Millennium School second. In elocution, Senior Study came first and second position went to Spring Dales School.
