The body of a person from Ajnala, who died of cardiac arrest in Dubai, reached at Shri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport here on Tuesday. The deceased, Nirmal Singh, hailed from Amb Nangal village in Ajnala. Nirmal Singh had migrated to Dubai 22 years ago.

The body was airlifted with efforts made by Sarbat Da Bhala Trust, run by Dr SP Singh Oberoi.

Nirmal Singh owned a construction company in Dubai. His family had settled with him. On October 2, he died due to heart attack. The family had a desire to conduct his cremation at his native village so requested Sarbat Da Bhala Trust to airlift his body from Dubai. Sukhjinder Singh Hair, president of the local unit of Sarbat Da Bhalla Trust, said SP Singh Oberoi had been helping workers in the UAE. The Trust got 79 bodies airlifted from Dubai for their families. see pic on p2
