AMRITSAR:Tarn Taran boy Dhanraj Singh has scored 94th All India Rank (AIR) in the entrance examination of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) the results of which were announced on Wednesday.

Tarn Taran boy Dhanraj Singh has scored 94th All India Rank (AIR) in the entrance examination of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) the results of which were announced on Wednesday. 

His father Rana Ranjit Singh is a farmer and mother Gurwinder Kaur a housewife. Dhanraj credits his success to his parents and teachers. He had also fared well in the recently declared results of the NEET. “I thank my parents and faculty of Wisdom Classes for helping me achieve my target,” he said.

“I expected myself to be among top 200, but 94 is unbelievable,” he said.

Dhanraj used to study for eight to nine hours a day and found solace in music during his preparation. He wants to be a cardiologist. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) -New Delhi and Jodhpur are among his preferebces.

He feels pressure helped him perform better and achieve his target. He also visited his school and the coaching institute along with his parents to celebrate his success. 

Dr Jeewan Jyoti Sidana, manager of Sidana International School where Dhanraj Singh studied, MP Sidana (president) and principal Amarjit Singh congratulated the student and his elated parents.

The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Delhi, had taken an entrance exam for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses. Bhavya Pawha of DAV Public School scored All India 126 rank in the entrance test conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
