Jalandhar, April 19

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Kotkapura Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Friday said if the government failed to act against illegal mining, party workers would visit the illegal mining pits and get the mining stopped.

Speaking on the 1986 Nakodar incident, the AAP leader said both Bargari and the Nakodar incidents had similarities and the government had failed to deliver justice in both cases. He was accompanied by AAP Jalandhar candidate Justice Zora Singh (retd).

Talking about damage to crops due to the inclement weather in the past few days, he also said by adopting the Arvind Kejriwal’s Delhi model, the Congress government should also compensate farmers to the tune of Rs 20,000 per acre.
