200 attend wound care conference

A three-day conference on wound care was inaugurated by Pro Vice-Chancellor, Khalsa University, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chinna, and Vice-Chancellor, Sri Guru Ram Das University of Medical Sciences and Research, Dr Kulwant Singh, yesterday evening.

The conference is being organised by the Wound Care Society in collaboration with Amandeep Hospital here.

Former Vice-Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Dr Rajnish Arora, also attended the inaugural function as the chief guest. The Wound Care Society president, Dr Ravi Mahajan, said aim of the conference was to apprise junior doctors and postgraduate students about latest advances in the field of wound management.

He said national and international faculty members would acquaint participants with their research work and experiences in the field of wound care and management.

“As many as 200 delegates from different specialties, including plastic surgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, internal medicine, and general practitioners, are attending the conference,” said Dr Mahajan.
