The Education Department has hired 3,500 teachers. Of them, the letters will be given to 2,500 teachers and the rest will get the same after their court cases are cleared.

The government is planning to depute 75 per cent of the newly hired teachers in border areas to fill in the vacant seats. The rest of the teachers will be posted in schools situated in other parts of the state.

Talking about the newly recruited teachers, the Minister for School Education said, “We want to empower the education system, especially in rural areas. The teachers will be posted in various schools on the basis of their merit.”

On PSEB results, he said, “We have seen a downfall in the PSEB results. All these efforts are being made to raise the level of education in the state. We want to provide world-class infrastructure to government schools. All energy of my department is directed to improve the overall results and bar of education.”
