14.9 kg gold seized at airport

The Customs authorities at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport have seized 14.9 kg gold in a flight arrived from Dubai on Saturday afternoon. According to the information the gold was lying under a seat. The custom authorities have rounded up a Jalandhar-based couple and investigating the matter. No case has been registered till late evening. The customs did not disclose the name of suspects. The return flight to Dubai departure with three hour delay. tns
