116 academics honoured with Award of Excellence, shawls

AMRITSAR: As many as seven principals and 109 teachers from prestigious CBSE schools were awarded for their meritorious services at a Teacher’s Day function held under the aegis of Sahodya Schools Complex at Shri Ram Ashram Public School on Saturday.

As many as seven principals and 109 teachers from prestigious CBSE schools were awarded for their meritorious services at a Teacher’s Day function held under the aegis of Sahodya Schools Complex at Shri Ram Ashram Public School on Saturday.

Chief guest Prof Sarabjot Singh Behl, (Dean Academic Affairs, GNDU) was given a floral welcome by SN Joshi, manager-cum-educational adviser, and Vinodita Sankyan, principal of the host school.

Office-bearers of Sahodya Schools Complex, Amritsar, Dr Dharamvir Singh (president), Dr Anita Bhalla (secretary), Anjana Gupta (finance secretary), Neera Sharma (chief adviser), Vijay Mehra (academic coordinator), Urminder Kaur (coordinator), Sangita Singh (coordinator), Jatinder Randhawa, director, Amardas School, Govindwal, also graced the occasion.

In her welcome address, Vinodita introduced the chief guest and updated the dignitaries with the achievements and progress of the school.

The Awards of Excellence were conferred by the chief guest on the seven most industrious and proficient principals (Malti Narang, Shri Guru Harkishan Senior Secondary School; Upasana Mehra, The Senior Study II; Parminder Kaur, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Public School; Dr Mridula Bhardwaj, Central Convent Sr. Sec. School; Janit Puri, Buds Senior School; Ramandeep Kaur, Great India Presidency School; Rajdeep Jain, Army Public School) along with customary shawls for their contribution in the field of education.

One hundred and nine teachers were also bestowed with the Award of Excellence and shawl by the chief guest for their valuable services rendered to the community for the cause of education. The chief guest was honoured with a memento, phulkari and a painting by the Principal and the manager of the school.
