The traffic came to a halt as fans gathered on the elevated road leading towards the Bhandari Bridge to seek a glimpse of their favourite stars. The location was the Inter-state Bus Terminal (ISBT), the event was shooting of the upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy “Happy Bhaag Jayegi”. Actor Ali Fazal was seen preparing for a scene as onlookers waved and shouted his name in excitement.

Anand L Rai, who recently gave Bollywood fans the superhit “Tanu Weds Manu Returns”, is producing the rom-com starring cocktail beauty Diana Penty and Abhey Deol in lead roles.

The film’s star cast and crew have been shooting extensively in Amritsar for the past few days at several locations, including the Civil Lines police station, parts inside the walled city and the ISBT.

The film is being directed by Mudassar Aziz. The movie also reportedly marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actor Momal Shiekh. The script of the film is based on a cross-border love story between the two leads. The film will further be shot in Chandigarh after wrapping up the schedule in Amritsar.
