‘Daana Paani’ star cast in city

“Sometimes a fiction is portrayed in such a beautiful manner that it seems like a reality. The same kind of storyline will be witnessed in the upcoming Punjabi movie Daana Paani,” said the stars of the movie who were here in the city for promotion on Wednesday.

Jimmy Sheirgill, Simi Chahal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Nirmal Rishi and Dilnoor Kaur star the movie. Directed by Rabb Da Radio-fame Tarnvir Singh Jagpal, the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film are written by filmfare award winner Jass Grewal.

Lead actor Jimmy Sheirgill is confident that the film will leave a mark in the Punjabi cinema. “It is a unique script. The film is a real example of beautiful cinema and has bundles of entertainment for audience of all age groups,” he said. Shergill, who has been a driving force in ensuring audience turnout for Punjabi films, said that exciting times lie ahead for Punjabi cinema with new concepts and innovative films working at the box office.

Lead actress Simi Chahal, too, is hopeful that the film will be appreciated for its simplicity. “This film carries a good story line. I am very happy to be associated with this project and looking forward to it. Producers of the movie Ranbir Singh Grewal, Jass Grewal, Gurpartap Singh Gill, Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal and Parvinder Singh Chahal expressed that the story of the film carriedan interesting concept.
