“Regularly revising the syllabus for nearly six-eight hours on a daily basis and maintaining pace in every topic helped me score good marks in the national-level exam. Till the last day of the exam, I had devoted my entire time to it only and made it a habit of deeply understanding topics in initial days of preparation and when the exam approached, I used to spend over 10-12 hours daily. Also, during my coaching at Akash Institute, I learnt that notes made during lectures were of great help for cracking the exam. I used to give maximum time to personal notes,” he said.

I have a keen interest in learning and mastering computer science engineering and it helped me in keeping myself focused. Ever since I started preparation, I devoted six-eight hours for understanding concepts.

Meanwhile, Tanish Gupta, a resident of Hoshiarpur, who is studying here bagged the second spot by scoring 99.982 percentile. Sharing his take on cracking the exam, he said the exam could not be cleared by studying in the last hours The students have to maintain consistency throughout the preparation so that every topic could be learned precisely. Besides, thoroughly revising NCERT textbooks of all subject was must in cracking the exam, he added. Revealing his success mantra, he said: “ I have a keen interest in learning and mastering computer science engineering and it helped me in keeping myself focused. Ever since I started my preparation, I devoted six-eight hours for understanding concepts only and even after considering maths as my strength, I scored maximum marks in chemistry and it happened only because of the deep understanding of topics. One should also never ignore chemistry as it can always help you fetch good score.”

Interested in technological advancement, Tanish is aiming for Delhi and Mumbai IITs as Computer Science is his favoured stream of engineering.
