Two snatchers arrested

The police have arrested two snatchers who had robbed a local resident Hira Singh of Jandiala six days ago. They were identified as Sunny Deol and Robinjit Singh of Dharad village.

According to the police, the duo looted an iPhone and a wallet containing an amount of Rs 3000 from Hira Singh. The complainant, along with his mother Manjit Kaur, had gone to Valmiki Chowk at Jandiala on foot when the accused came on a scooter and looted them on a sharp-edged weapon point.

In another incident, two armed persons looted a migrant working in a factory in Mandiala village. The victim Sudagar Verma was near the factory gate when the suspects approached him. The suspects attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon and looted his mobile and an amount of Rs 4500.
