Amritsar, December 15

Victims of the Dasehra tragedy, who are sitting on an indefinite strike, carried out a protest march here on Sunday and reiterated their demand of government jobs.

Notwithstanding the inclement weather, they commenced the march from Bhandari railway overbridge and covered Gol Hatti Chowk, Kairon market, Town Hall, Katra Jai Mal Singh, Farid Da Chowk, Sikandari Gate and Pink plaza, before reaching back to protest site. The protesters have declined to accept the offer of private jobs by the district administration and are insisting on government jobs.

They said the objective behind their struggle was to make their voice reach the government.
