Tarn Taran: Sub-Post Office opened in court

Tarn Taran: The Department of Post opened its Sub-Post office in the Judicial Court Complex here on Monday. The aim is to provide better services regarding court work and to other officials and employees. A function was organised under the chairmanship of Deepak Sharma, Senior Superintendent Post (SSP), in the court complex. The post office was inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood and Additional District and Sessions Judge Preeti Sahni. While addressing on the occasion, SSP Deepak Sharma said the post office would also provide financial services like NSC, KVP, Sukanya, PPF, besides speed post, registry, parcel, etc. The department had its main office and one more sub post office in the town. Three held with illicit liquor

Tarn Taran: The police arrested three residents of different villages with 22,800 ml of Illicit liquor here on Sunday. The police on Monday said Patti police arrested Khajan Singh of Patti city with 4,500 ml and Sukhraj Singh, a resident of Kairon, with 4,320 ml of illicit liquor. Meanwhile, Kulwant Singh, a resident of Chandigarh locality in Fatehbad village, too was arrested with 18,000 ml of Illicit liquor. OC
