Tarn Taran: Anmolpreet Kaur, a resident of Goindwal Sahib area, secured 8.5 band in IELTS. Anmolpreet Kaur got the coaching from Imperia Institute, Goindwal Sahib. Dr Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa, Controller of the Institute said that it was the first attempt of Anmolpreet. She had got 8.5 band in listening and over all secured 7.5 bands. Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa controller of the Institute herself had got 9 bands in reading with overall 8.5 bands. Anmolpreet Kaur was honoured by the Institute.OC

2 Get placed in accenture

Amritsar: Two students namely Ujjwal Lakhanpal and Tarundeep Kaur from PG Department of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, Amritsar, got placed in a renowned multinational company Accenture. They got an attractive pay package.The company deals with the services and solutions in strategy and consulting interactive technology and operations, said Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. He congratulated the students Director, Training and Placements Prof Harbhajan Singh Randhawa, Asst. Director Dr Anureet Kaur. He said Placement Coordinator Prof Ravi Patniand and Prof Haryali Dhillon played vital role in this placement.

Workshop on Bridal Makeup

Department of Lifelong Learning,GNDU, organised a workshop on “Bridal Makeup” Director, Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Bala welcomed the makeup artist Sandeep and apprised the students about his achievements.In the very beginning of the workshop, Sandeep imparted the knowledge about the products and explained the whole procedure of the bridal makeup step-by-step. Thereafter, he practically demonstrated the whole makeup process on the model and did eye makeup, contouring along with the hair styling. He also made the students aware about how to wrap the dupatta and saree. The students learnt and made the queries which were satisfactorily answered by the makeup artist. In the end, Tejpal Kaur thanked the artist and hope for the future co-operation by him. The workshop was completed successfully under the perfect co-ordination of Tejpal Kaur and Jaskaran Kaur. /oc
