Spring Daleans shine in NTSE Exam

Amritsar: Three students Pragati Arora, Amitoj Singh Miglani and Dilraj Jeet Singh came up with the flying colours in the 1st stage of the NTSE Exam. They made their school proud by securing the leading positions in the city. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, the Principal, shared his joy when his students brought laurels by showing outstanding performance in the coveted exam conducted by the NCERT for the meritorious students of Grade X. Sharma shared that in the first phase of exam, the students compete with the participants from all over the state and his students have made their way into the second stage which shall provide an opportunity for them to compete with the best talent from all over the country. He further shared that the NCERT conducts this exam with an objective to award scholarships to potential candidates who aspire to pursue higher education in the field of science or social sciences.

Webinar on yoga and holistic health

BBK DAV College for Women organised a series of events on “Yoga and Holistic Health…Context and Perspectives”. Vishal Mahindru, president, Yogpath Sansthan, Haridwar, Dr Amandeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, Guru Nanak Dev University, Narpinder Singh, Sr vice President, Punjab Yogasana Sports Association were the speakers in the web session.The speakers talked about various yogic postures and Yogsadhnas like Raj Yoga and Hath Yoga and said that all these yogic activities establish body- mind balance. While addressing the webinar, Vishal Mahendru, referred to eight limbs of yoga called; Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharna, Dhyana and Smadhi. TNS
