‘Reflection’: Child artists’ art camp in Amritsar

A month-long summer art camp and festival at the art gallery concluded with a colourful exhibition and cultural evening as children performed and displayed their creative talent.

The exhibition titled “Reflection” opened at the gallery, putting on display calligraphy and paintings made by child artists, who attended the workshops. Arvinder Chamak, general secretary, IAFA, said 55 children, who attended the art camp displayed over 80 works.

IAFA had resumed its annual summer art camp and festival after two years and had been hoping for a good response. “Our workshops are open for kids between the age of five to 16 years and we cover all genres of art, including sculpture, wood and clay modeling and performing arts. This year, we had over 100 participants for all our workshops,” said Chamak.

In the evening, a presentation of cultural dance and music was performed by artistes, who attended dance, singing and drama workshops.
