Amritsar, February 29

Actor Nargis Fakhri was in Amritsar today as she walked the ramp to unveil the latest jewellery collection for Khurana Jewellery House, Almas, in collaboration with De Beers Forevermark. The actor, who is now based in USA, visited the Golden Temple and paid obeisance as she shared her excitement to be in the holy city after a gap of 13 years.

“I last came to Amritsar, while on a promotional tour of Rockstar, which was in 2011. It feels wonderful to be here again and I feel so blessed to be at the Golden Temple,” she said. Later in the evening, she presented the new diamond jewellery collection and batted for sustainability in the fashion industry.

“I have consciously made an effort to practice sustainability in my wardrobe and in my life. Similarly, in terms of jewellery, it is important to know that you are supporting ethical practices by buying responsibly sourced diamonds,” she said. Wearing a glamorous white dress that made her look ethereal, Nargis said, “I love what I’m wearing today, I feel it is a perfect blend of classic beauty and art.”

At work front, Nargis will soon be seen in new projects and after shifting base to the US, she has been seen in several prominent modelling campaigns.
