Meanwhile, in connection with the birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee held a bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, after which the religious Diwan was decorated, in which ragi, dhadi, kwishar, preachers and cult poets attended and shared the life history of Guru Sahib with the sangat.

Several institutions also marked the 357th Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh. The Khalsa College Charitable Society (KCCS) held lectures on teachings and philosophy of Guru Sahib while kirtan was performed by students of Khalsa College Public School (KCPS). They recited hymns from Gurbani and verses in the praise of the great Guru.

The Gurdwara complex was decorated tastefully with buntings and flowers. The teachers, students and staff members took part in the ardas (prayers) following the bhog ceremony of Akhand Path and later the langar (community kitchen) was served for devotees. KCGC honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina gave the message to the youth to follow the philosophy of Guru, which he said was most relevant in the present strife-torn world.
