Civil Surgeon first to get dose in Tarn Taran

Tarn Taran: The Covid vaccine drive was launched at the Civil Hospital here on Saturday. Civil Surgeon Dr Rohit Mehta was the first in the district to get injected. Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh, MLAs Dr Dharambir Agnihotri and Harminder Singh Gill and officials of the Health Department were present on the occasion. The Civil Surgeon said in the first phase 6,700 health workers of government and private hospitals would be administered the dose and the same lot of workers would be given the second doze after 28 days. The administration had created 19 vaccination centres in the district but the vaccination drive was held at three centres. Besides the district Civil Hospital, Sub-Divisional Hospitals at Khadoor Sahib and Patti would also hold the vaccination drive. OC
