Amritsar win Katoch Shield cricket tourney

Amritsar registered an emphatic victory against Ferozepur in Katoch Shield one-day cricket tournament here today.

Being played on the Gandhi Ground, the host opted to bat first after winning the toss. Riding on the knocks by Arush (90) and Abhinav (55) and meaningful contribution by other players, the home team amassed a formidable score of 273 in stipulated 50 overs.

Chasing the total, the visitors fell like ninepins and were all out for paltry 57. For the winning team, bowlers Kamal Passi and Abhishek Sharma scalped three wickets each.
