Amritsar reach semi-final in cricket tourney

Host Amritsar reached the semi-final of the PCA U-16 inter-district tournament after trouncing Fatehgarh Sahib here today.

On the second day of the quarter final, Amritsar won convincingly by bowling out Fatehgarh Sahib team at 92, while setting the modest target of 151 for them.

For the winner, Aviraj bowled brilliantly and took five wickets by giving only 21 runs. DC Harpreet Singh Sudan, who is also president of the Amritsar Games Association (AGA), RTO Arshdeep Singh Lubhana, also secretary AGA, and Rajan Trikha, chairman of the media committee, congratulated the players.
