2 held; weapon, bullets seized

Amritsar: The rural police have arrested two youths for allegedly possessing country-made weapon. They were identified as Sarabjit Singh and Jujbir Singh, both residents of Shahbazpur village falling under the Sadar police station in Tarn Taran. In a statement issued here on Friday, the police said they were travelling on a bike when they were intercepted at a checkpoint near Pandori Waraich village. The police recovered a country-made weapon with three live bullets. A case under the Arms Act has been registered against them while further investigations are on to ascertain their antecedents. TNS
