2 arrested with heroin in Kangra

Kangra, January 19

The Kangra police arrested two persons, including a woman, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and recovered 5.58 gm of heroin from their possession and impounded a vehicle used in the crime.

Kangra Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Sharma today said the police arrested the driver of a three-wheeler, identified as Suresh Kumar, a resident of ward no 2, Dewaan Bagh, Nagrota Bagwan and recovered 3.01 gm of heroin from his possession. The police also recovered 19 capsules of drugs from his possession. The ASP said Beroo Devi, a resident of Dhmaita, was arrested under the NDPS Act and 2.57 gm of heroin was recovered from her possession at Dhmaita. — OC
