India and Australia are all set to take on each other for the World Test Championship final (WTC) 2023 at the Oval in London from June 7. Team India lost the inaugural WTC final when they took on New Zealand, and after making back-to-back finals, the Rohit Sharma-led side would be keen on winning the title in 2023.

The Indian team have kicked off their preparations for the summit clash of the tournament against Australia, and the entire contingent has gathered in London as they will now be keen on staying on top of their form and give their best, when they take on the Pat Cummins-led side.

Both teams last faced each other in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, which was held in February and March. India dominated the first two Tests of the series, before Australia made a comeback in the third Test, and after the fourth Test at Ahmedabad ended in a draw, India continued their hold on the prestigious trophy. 

It is also worth noting that the upcoming WTC final clash against India will be Australia’s first final of the tournament. On the other hand, this would be India’s second final after they lost the summit clash of the 2019–21 season against New Zealand. As both sides gear up for the high octane clash, it could be interesting to see which team comes out on top to clinch the title.
