A resident of the Gita Bhawan area, near local Gandhi Chowk, received a bullet injury when he was attacked by two unidentified armed miscreants in the late evening on Monday. The victim was identified as Gaurav Goyal, an insurance agent.

The police have initiated a probe, but no case has been registered. Victim’s father Ashok Goyal said two unidentified youth fired two shots at his son after calling him out his house today at 8.15 pm. Gaurav had a miraculous escape as one bullet hit his left hand. Personal enmity is suspected to be reason behind the attack. — OC
