Sixty-year-old Karnail Singh was battered to death in his house at the Linepar locality in Bahadurgarh on Sunday night.

He was allegedly killed by his 25-year-old son Amrender under the influence of liquor. The accused fled the spot after the crime.

Domestic feud was stated to be the reason behind the murder. The police started investigation after booking Amrender on the complaint of his mother Harjeet Kaur.

In her complaint, she stated that Amrender worked as accountant at a shop, but had not been going to work for over a month. She reported that Amrender came home in an inebriated state around 11 pm on Sunday.

She stated that Amrender attacked his father with a wooden stick after a verbal duel over some issue. She added that Amrender kept beating his father mercilessly till he died.
