Hisar: A district court on Friday awarded life imprisonment to Vikram (27) for raping a minor belonging to the Scheduled Caste in a village of the district. The victim, then 17 years old and a Class XI student, was abducted and raped on the night of November 21, 2017. Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr Pankaj also imposed a fine of Rs 21,000 on the convict. In case of default in payment of fine, he would have to spend nine months more in jail. tns
