Youth dies in road mishap

A motorcyclist died in road accident near Khalchiyan here on Monday. The victim has been identified as Sahilpreet Singh (18), a resident of Allowal. Kawaljeet Singh, father of the deceased, stated in his complaint to Khilchiyan police station that his son left the house around 7.50 am on his motorcycle for some work. Near Chandan Palace at Fathuwal, the deceased’s bike hit an unidentified vehicle parked on the road. Soon after the accident, the driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle. Sahilpreet Singh sustained serious injuries on head and other body parts. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. No arrest has been made. — TNS
