Yatri Niwas to bear educational expenses of martyrs’ kin

PANCHKULA: The managing committee of the Yatri Niwas being set up in the name of Deenbandhu Chaudhari Chhoturam at Katra in Jammu and Kashmir will bear the educational expenses of one child of the martyred soldiers.

The managing committee of the Yatri Niwas being set up in the name of Deenbandhu Chaudhari Chhoturam at Katra in Jammu and Kashmir will bear the educational expenses of one child of the martyred soldiers.

Dr Mahendra Singh Malik, IPS (retd), President of the All India Shahid Samaj Sangharsh Samiti, and Chairman of Jat Sabha, Panchkula, and Chandigarh, said this while presiding over a meeting of the Executive Committee of Jat Sabha Panchkula-Chandigarh at Chaudhary Chhoturam Bhawan, Sector 6, here on Sunday.

Dr Malik said the Central government should frame a policy for the rehabilitation of families of the martyred soldiers, besides ensuring free education to their dependents. Members of the committee paid homage to the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama attack. — TNS
