Ludhiana, February 5
A 21-day winter school on ‘Farmer empowerment through Entrepreneurial Ventures’ entered its fifth day today at PAU. The programme organised by the Skill Development Centre, PAU, witnessed the participation of 21 scientists from eight states of India.
Dr G K Sangha, dean post graduate studies, PAU, formally inaugurated the programme, while Dr SK Thind from the Directorate of Extension Education presided over the inaugural ceremony. Dr Sangha, in her address said the objective of the course was to impart knowledge about latest entrepreneurial ventures, marketing strategies and conduct exposure visits to successful farmer entrepreneurs.
Dr Thind motivated the participants to seek maximum benefit from the course, while coordinators Dr Pankaj Kumar and Dr Lavlish Garg will facilitate smooth conduct of programme. Earlier, Dr TS Riar, associate director, skill development welcomed the chief guest and participants.
