Work for overall growth: Cong MLA

Congress MLA from Bassi Pathana Gurpreet Singh GP thanked voters and authorities concerned for holding peaceful and fair panchayat elections.

The MLA claimed that a number of Sarpnaches and panches supported by the Congress have been elected in most villages. He said elected representatives should work for welfare of their respective villages with zeal. GP assured that all villages in the area would be given grants irrespective of their political affilation and added that he was committed for the all-round developement of the area.

He also wished residents on the New Year. The MLA said he has been working to fulfill long pending demand of laying drains and construction of a stadium in Khamano.

He maintained that repair work of roads has already begun. Surinder Singh, general secretary, district Congress; Block Samiti member Sarabjeet Singh Jeete; and Dr Amarjir Sohal, block president, Congress, among others, were also present on the occasion. OC
