Women take centrestage

Popular film and television actress, Renuka Shahane is all set to begin her Hindi directorial film. According to the reports, Renuka has signed up veteran actress Shabana Azmi and also Mithila Palkar for the film. Mithila made her Bollywood debut with last year’s Irrfan Khan  starrer Karwaan. 

Renuka was quoted as saying, “I am directing a film with Shabanaji and Mithila. There is a third protagonist and I am in the process of finalising for that part.” There were rumours that Kajol too has been approached for the same , but Renuka refuted the speculations. The film depicts the lives of women from three different generations. Also, it was earlier reported that the film will be titled Tribhanga.
