Wet weather to continue till Jan 24: Experts

Chandigarh, January 21

After last few cloudy days, it rained in Chandigarh this evening. The Meteorological Department recorded 1.5 mm rain in city today. Officials of the department said it started to rain/thundershower at 5 pm and continued till late night. “The wet weather is expected to continue till January 24,” they added.

“Active wet spell of moderate intensity is likely in Chandigarh. It will increase in intensity and distribution during January 21 and 24. The spell will cover most parts even of Punjab and Haryana. The said spell may be accompanied with occasional hailstorm,” said a weather update.
