A Jammu and Kashmir resident allegedly involved in terrorist activities was arrested from the integrated check post, Attari, here on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Tehseem Ahmad, alias Junaid. He was going to Pakistan.

Tehseem is wanted in a murder case registered in J&K. A lookout circular was issued against him. He had been evading arrest for the past several months. Tehseem is allegedly a member of the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit. Amritsar (Rural) SSP Parampal Singh said owing to lookout circular against him, the immigration authorities at the ICPnabbed him. He said the J&K police had been informed and their team was on the way to take his custody. — TNS
