A team of CIA-II of Yamunanagar police has impounded a utility vehicle that was illegally loaded with 38 bags of agriculture-grade urea from Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar district on Thursday afternoon.
On the complaint of Balbir Singh, Quality Control Inspector of the Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department, Yamunanagar, a case was registered against vehicle driver Ikbal alias Bali of Behrampur village at City police station, Jagadhri.
Shri Bhagwan Yadav, in-charge, CIA-II, said that the vehicle driver was arrested and was produced in a local court on Friday which sent him to judicial custody.
The in-charge of the CIA-II said that he got information that a utility vehicle was carrying urea illegally. He formed a team which stopped the vehicle near Buria Chowk of Jagadhri and seized 38 bags of urea from it.
He said that the driver told them that the urea had been loaded in the vehicle from the shop of a fertiliser dealer at Bhogpur village and it was to be supplied to a plywood factory. — TNS
