Hyderabad, February 22

BJP MP Varun Gandhi believes the Parliament library is the ‘loneliest place’ on earth as it is seldom visited by members. Speaking at an Indian School of Business policy conclave here on Friday, he observed that while the country was brimming with a young population, the average age of parliamentarians was rising.

“I often go to the Parliament library because that is supposed to be one of the repositories of knowledge and I promise you, every time I go, I feel it is the loneliest place on earth,” he said. “Every time I go there, the librarian hugs me, because she hasn’t seen a person in days,” he said. — PTI
