Shoolini University on Monday signed an MoU with Tarwinder S Sabharwal, founder of Sevak Construction Company, Mumbai.
He announced a grant of Rs 5 crore for the construction of a hospital for yoga and naturopathy and collaboration for research in the university.
Vice-Chancellor PK Khosla said the university wanted to play a key role in investigating the role of yoga in general and transcendental meditation in particular for studying metabolic changes in human biology. Therefore, the university had constructed three huts for pursuing research in meditation.
The hospital would be equipped with specialised treatment sections, IPD wards, diet centre, recreation facility, yoga and meditation hall, clinical pathology, library, herbal garden and residential area. He said the treatment section included steam bath, sauna bath, mud massage, oil massage, colon therapy, acupuncture, chroma therapy, etc.
