Valley all set for Republic Day

Srinagar: Amid tight security, contingents of the police and forces on Thursday participated in a full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day parade in the Valley. Students also rehearsed for the parade in all districts of Kashmir on Thursday, an official said. In Srinagar, Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan presided over the parade at the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium while in other districts, the deputy commissioners presided over the rehearsal. Police and other security forces took part in the march-past holding the Tricolour in all district headquarters, an official spokesman said. TNS
