Udayan ends on top, Mukesh Shubhankar share 2nd place

CHANDIGARH: Udayan Mane delivered a top-class final round of 5-under 67 to win the PGTI Players Championship at the Classic Golf & Country Club in Nuh, Haryana, on Friday.

Udayan Mane delivered a top-class final round of 5-under 67 to win the PGTI Players Championship at the Classic Golf & Country Club in Nuh, Haryana, on Friday. 

Mane (71-64-71-67) carded a total of 15-under 273 to clinch the title and earn seven OWGR points.

India’s top golfer Shubhankar Sharma (70-68-69-67) finished joint runner-up at 14-under 274 while veteran Mukesh Kumar (71-69-69-65) of Mhow came up with a spirited 65, the best round of the day, to share the second place on a topsy-turvy day.

Young guns, 22-year-old Veer Ahlawat (13-under 275) and 18-year-old rookie Kshitjit Naveed Kaul (12-under 276) claimed fourth and fifth places, respectively.  Round three leader Sunit Chowrasia dropped to seventh place at 10-under 278 after a final round of 73. — TNS
