Two truck drivers injured near Kotkhai

Shimla: Two truck drivers were injured in a landslide near Kotkhai on Friday. The duo was rushed to the IGMC, Shimla. The landside blocked the Kotkhai-Rohru stretch for four hours. As many as 349 roads in Shimla, Dalhousie, Kullu and Mandi are blocked due to heavy snow. Kalpa received 4 cm of snowfall, while Keylong witnessed 23-cm snowfall on Friday. Residents of Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Pangi-Bharmour, Dalhousie and upper parts of Kullu and Mandi are having a tough time. PWD engineers said 144 roads would be restored by Saturday. TNS

Mild quake hits Kinnaur

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake hit Kinnaur district on Friday, the Meteorological Department said. The quake struck the region at 7.17 am. Its epicentre was located at a depth of 10 km. There was no report of loss of life or damage to property. PTI
