A case against them was registered at the Basti Jodhewal police station on June 19, 2014, following the statement of Sanjeev Kumar Jain.

The complainant had stated to the police that Swatantar Kumar Jain and Dharam Parkash Jain were his younger brothers.

Dharam Parkash Jain was doing business under the name M/s Hardik Knit Craft at Noorwala Road, Ludhiana.
