The Army on Sunday paid a befitting tribute to Sowar Kishan Singh, who was killed in a gunfight in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday which also left three militants dead.
In a solemn ceremony at Badamibagh cantonment, Chinar Corps commander Lt Gen AK Bhatt and all ranks paid homage to the slain soldier on the behalf of a proud nation.
“In a show of solidarity, representatives from other security agencies also joined to pay their last respects to the martyr,” an Army statement said.
Late Sowar Kishan Singh, 29, had joined the Army in 2010. He belonged to Bhinchri village of Ratangarh tehsil in Churu, Rajasthan. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
