Trainer plane crashes in Hyderabad’s Shankarpalli; pilot safe

A trainer plane on Wednesday crashed in Shankarpalli, 46 kilometres from here. However, the pilot is safe. 

It was a private trainee aircraft that crashed near Mokila village of Shankarpally mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

The plane belonged to the Rajeev Gandhi Aviation Academy, Begumpet. The trainee was identified as Bharat Bhushan and he ejected when he sensed trouble with the plane.

He received minor injuries and was hospitalised. The trainee was on a routine sortie as part of the training schedule.  

Venkat Reddy, ACP, Chevella, said: “Today an aircraft belonging to Rajeev Gandhi Aviation Academy has crashed near Mokila village of Shankarpally mandal, Ranga Reddy District. Pilot Bharat Bhushan is safe, he just received a normal injury in his eye.”
