Tractor-trailer with paddy stubble catches fire
Ambala: A tractor-trailer reportedly loaded with paddy stubble caught fire near Aggarsain Chowk in Ambala City late this evening. The reason behind the fire was not known yet. Two fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. Traffic came to a halt on this section of the Chandigarh-Hisar highway for some time. According to information, Baljeet Singh, a resident of Dera Bassi, was on his way from Naggal village when the paddy stubble caught fire. Some passer-by alerted the driver about the fire following which he parked the vehicle on one side of the road. No one suffered injuries in the incident. — TNS
