The Division No. 4 police have registered a fraud case against a Tamil Nadu-based man for duping several hosiery traders of about Rs 63.50 lakh. The suspect has been identified as Shivaji.

Gaurav Pahwa, a resident of Wait Ganj, told the police that Shivaji bought hosiery goods worth lakhs from several traders in Ludhiana but did not pay them. Shivaji is to pay Rs 23 lakh to him, Rs 7.61 lakh to Rakesh Kumar of Rainbow Knitwears, Rs 15.42 lakh to Bharat Bhushan owning B Bhushan Wools Store, Rs 9.04 lakh to Gaurav Fabrics and Rs 8.29 lakh to Rajesh Kumar of Roopsi Knitwears.
